It looks like this bug belong to Ubutuntu 2.6.28 kernel that its ldisc
sometime fail to flush after writing a tty.

I have a utility application sending boot image with Xmodem protocol. It
works fine in debian, but failed to work in Ubuntu 9.04

I have a Ubuntu 9.04 hosted VMware running WindowsXP. In the virtual
machine I run hyper Terminal to transfer boot image with its XModem. it
also fail the same way. But Hyper Terminal works fine in Debian hosted
WindowXP.
