I am having the same problem using the Netbook Remix on my EEEPC 1005HA. I did not run any extensive measurements, but I would say that my boot times (from pressing the power button to viewing the login screen) has roughly doubled compared to 9.04. The boot sequence as I view it on screen has also changed: - I enter Grub (so far, so good) - Time t=0: I press "enter" to exit Grub - After exiting Grub, I now see the Ubuntu logo on screen for about 20 seconds. This is new behavior compared to 9.04. After these 10 seconds, I get a blank screen for another 10 seconds (with only what seems to be a text-based cursor on the top-left of my screen). - Only after these 20+10 seconds, do I see the "normal" boot screen that looks like boot in under progress - I head the drum sound about 3-4 seconds *before* the login screen appears. I hope this helps! -- Really slow boot after 9.04 to 9.10 upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/465148 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
