In both cases I get the error but dmsg log contains more with 'ahci' I get the log you see above, with sata mode I get less few messeges, just the frozen message and the reconfiguration message. The last thing I have done yesterday is an updgade to the latest kernel 2.6.31-15-generic, it's about 45 minutes that I don't get a freeze. Never happened before since the last 2 weeks.
