I will investigate this. However, I have a commented lene # CONFIG_DRM_I915_KMS is not se in my kernel config. I skipped it, since I thought it was pertinent to intel chips.
Interesting, people reporting it not to work and brings more issues. In my case, besides the fact that the laptop boots SLOWER, the kernel is "fast" and nice. Could that misbehaving thing be a KMS option? I will try to build with KMS and will compare.
