Just to add that I believe I am suffering from the same problem - I'm using a Belkin F5D7050 USB adaptor which worked flawlessly under 9.04; under 9.10 I am having the same weird behaviour whereby association with the AP seems to succeed, but no packets ever seem to make it across the link (including DHCP requests).
