I just installed Ubuntu Dapper (6.06) 64bit as a KVM guest, and enabled dapper-backports but I can't find clamav 0.95.3 anywhere.
r...@utest-dd64:/etc/apt# apt-cache policy clamav-daemon clamav-daemon: Installed: (none) Candidate: 0.95.2+dfsg-4ubuntu1.1~dapper1 Version table: 0.95.2+dfsg-4ubuntu1.1~dapper1 0 500 http://ro.archive.ubuntu.com dapper-backports/universe Packages ... because clamav 0.95.3 for amd64 hasn't been built yet, you can check here: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/clamav/0.95.3+dfsg- 1ubuntu0.09.04~dapper1 I think you should wait for it to appear in -backports and not install it manually, maybe that's why you got those dependency issues. Please run 'apt-cache policy clamav-daemon' and 'apt-cache policy clamav' and paste the results here. I repeat, clamav 0.95.3 is NOT in dapper-backports yet. It will be really soon, I think a couple of hours or so. It was uploaded to -backports yesterday and it needs to build. As you can see it IS available for i386, that should work OK. -- clamav-deamon dependency error on 64bit after clamav Update to clamav 0.95.3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/478205 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
