Just add the following code at the bottom your userChrome.css file:

#urlbar { background-color: #00FF00 !important; }

It doesn't meter which color you will specify, FF still will use Gnome 
settings, but know properly.

So, now I have a question: if I specify background color for address bar
FF will use Gnome settings. How can I change FF background color for
address bar without changing Gnome theme color settings? Why it doesn't
work thought userCrome.css?
