I might have found something interesting about this bug. This is also affecting me, after i installed Ubuntu 9.10.
I followed all the recommendations on this and other, similar thereads, elsewhere. I produced a detail of my config (below), yet while doing it i noticed the following: Even after i either wait for more than 1 minute, or send a HUP signal to the smbd daemon or logout-login, even restart the whole computer, the following lines on my /etc/samba/smb.conf file are NOT shown up by the testparm -s: usershare path = /var/lib/samba/usershares usershare owner only = yes Is this the cause for the issue i have?
