Hi For me the bug seems to be fixed after upgrading to karmic. I tried to suspend/resume about 15 times without any errors.
The above mentioned file /etc/pm/sleep.d/99laptop-mode doesn't exist on my system. Relevant settings in /etc/laptop-mode/laptop-mode.conf: CONTROL_HD_POWERMGMT=1 ENABLE_LAPTOP_MODE_ON_BATTERY=1 I did those tests on battery...
