Yes, I can reproduce it. Using Karmic Koala 64b.

Here's stuff when started from console:

Object::connect: No such slot KBlogger::Backend::slotStatusMessage(const 
QString&)
KCrash: Application 'kblogger' crashing...
sock_file=/home/anssi/.kde/socket-core2/kdeinit4__0
Warning: connect() failed: : No such file or directory
KCrash cannot reach kdeinit, launching directly.

I didn't do clean install when I updated to 9.10 (I'm using existing
/home partition). But this was the first time when I wanted to try
kblogger.
