Ok, So I have a separate bluetooth dongle now, as in 2 on the computer. Keep the keyboard and mouse on one, and the headphones on the other. This works smoothly. Again, not a very elegant workaround, but in my scenario, once the devs sort out the issue I can use the new usb bluetooth dongle on another computer, so I don't really come out short in the end.
