I Downloaded Ubuntu 9.10 Desktop-i386 iso CD with my AMD64 machine. It checks fine and loads alive properly on the same PC. The problem is that the same CD does not installs or even checks for errors in my other PC, a HP 753 PC with Intell i-386 processor. When I try to install or even check for disk errors on this PC, I get the following message:
killed [ 7.0280841] Kernel panic-not syncing: Out of memory and no killable process... [7.028087] The Data attached are from the Live CD on the AMD64 since the mentioned CD does not install in any form in my other i-386 PC. Shouldn't a Ubuntu 9.10 desktop-i386 CD work on a i386 PC even if it was downloaded with a AMD64 PC?.
