bacchio, due to a package bug, you have been left with the Jaunty kernel (2.6.28) instead of the Karmic kernel (2.6.31). Please run 'sudo update-grub' and it should set your /boot/grub/menu.lst file to the correct kernel. Once that is set, reboot your machine.
