I have now run karmic on my Wind U100 off a LiveCD on a USB CD/DVD
drive.

1. It is impossible to run the LiveCD if the webcam is enabled but it can be
run OK with webcam off.
2. modprobe uncvideo does not have any adverse effects with webcam off
3. Fn F6 key does not work so I can not enable the webcam.
4. Plugging in an alternative USB webcam (0c45:602c) is fine, it is detected
and works in cheese.

I have looked through all the previous linked bug reports and ran xev

1. Fn F6 key is not detected and does not appear to do anything [Jaunty not
detected but obviously works]
2. Fn F10 key is not detected [detected]
3 Fn F11 key is detected and cycles Wifi but not Bluetooth. [cycles both Wifi
and Bluetooth]
4. All other Fn Fx keys are detected [except Fn F2 and Fn F3]
5. Fn F4 and Fn F5 change brightness without problems
6. Fn F12 suspended machine and it came back on fine

I repeated under Jaunty and results are in [ ]. USB webcam detected and
ran but with inferior driver.

Provisional conclusion - not a problem with uncvideo module alone - more
likely to be in key detection and configuration udev etc rules or new
implementation in kernel?? Is there a linkage with brightness problem -
both seem to go back a long way?
