I have a similar issue, but in my case, the combination shown above works (see attachment 'screenshot-small.png', purple area is visible area).
However, because of bug #389519 (pointer gets lost above the upper menubar), I want to move my small primary screen up to align it with the top of the bigger screen. But when I do this, I get a big rectangular black part on my primary screen (see attachment 'screenshot-1-small.png, again, purple area is the visible area). I know that this very bug reports a "mirrored background" on the secondary screen, and I get a black rectangle on my primary screen, but I thought that these issues are quite related. Should I create a new bug for this? ** Attachment added: "Similar problem on Lenovo Thinkpad X61s" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35009436/Screenshot-small.png -- [gm45] [Karmic] Xorg doesn't display full area on external monitor https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/445170 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
