I had this problem today and the solution was as easy as strange - I've just used Live CD instead of Alternate CD (tested both Kubuntu and Ubuntu). The system was installed perfectly.
I've also changed in BIOS my RAID partitions so that I've one /boot partition RAID 1 and the rest is RAID 0. I don't know if that is also relevant. -- Unsuccessful grub2 install in amd64 alternate iso for karmic as of Oct 5 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/444639 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
