Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-nv

Just installed feisty herd 4 on a new machine from dell, with the
following nvidia card:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation GeForce 7300 LE (rev a1)
(prog-if 00 [VGA])

Capabilities: [60] Power Management version 2
Capabilities: [68] Message Signalled Interrupts: Mask- 64bit+ Queue=0/0
Enable-
Capabilities: [78] Express Endpoint IRQ 0
        Capabilities: [100] Virtual Channel
        Capabilities: [128] Power Budgeting

using the default 'nv' driver, 2d gfx performance was really bad. moving
around windows, scrolling in firefox was pretty slow, but still somewhat
usable. the installer screen with the map to select timezone became unusable
when I clicked on the map to zoom in: 1 frame every 2-3 seconds. minimizing
the window allowed me to get past that screen in a reasonable amount of time.

** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-nv (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
