Well, i found a way to deactivate the glitch, it comes apparently from the "Monitor of Audio interne Analog Stereo" witch is not available from the standard interface, i have to install it => asoundconf-gtk
And after deactivate it from the interface no more glitch in session, when i reboot i have 2 or 3 glitches until the desktop is fully loaded, and no more after. For info i migrate my second laptop (office) Thinkpad R61, from 9.04 to 9.10 and surprise i add the same glitch problem => 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03) I solve the problem doing the same. I guess i'm not the only one to encounter this, but as the deactivation of the "Monitor of Audio interne Analog Stereo" is not possible with standard gui i still think it's a real bug. I post attachment of screen-shoot with/and without the "Monitor" activate: -- Scratching sound recurrent every 5 to 20 seconds on karmic amd64 (not jaunty) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/462497 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
