Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. I've tried to reproduce this with several applications,
but whith the gconf settings as you described, everything I open is
showing up un-maximized, and with proper window decorations. Could you
please provide the version of maximus you are using, and a screenshot
showing the problem? Thanks!
