I'm having the same problem as billjoie, except that this emerged ONLY with the final release. I did not have this problem, earlier on. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, purged, etc., it is as Billjoie says. In fact, I've had to move over to Windows XP to use OpenOffice 3.1.1. on that platform, for the commenting on essays that I routinely do.
