Somewhat Related.... I used the 9.10 Alt CD on my machine with ICH10 Raid 1 (Mirrored).
Installed Ubuntu to another drive. (the RAID array is just file storage) Upon installing, it asked if I wanted to use the RAID hardware...I said yes. after installing, Ubuntu still sees these as separate drives. Worked fine with 8.04.
