The bug is not caused by the flash crash during the upgrade. Freezing continues in a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.10 on a brand new hard disk. Seem to be caused by the sytem (8 years old Toshiba Satellite A10) and/or the Ubuntu software. Ubuntu Vista?
