Another symptom after the upgrade was loss of the touchpad cursor thingy ...
As an experiment I burned a livecd and got sound and touchpad worked fine. Bit the bullet and did a clean install. Had to turn off the power saving option for the soundcard to stop a popping sound when it was re-activated by editing alsa-base.conf, but sound is now fine, so I guess this bug report can be closed, except that I'm obviously not very happy that the upgrade broke my system and I had to reinstall. -- Upgrade to 9.10 - lost all sound https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/464393 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
