Ah, I did not realize that this was the case.  Thanks, Wolfgang Kufner.
At the same time, that just makes this a usability bug.  The method for
this is complete backwards compared with how the rest of the Gnome
desktop functions.  There are 2 plausible solutions that I can see.  1.
change the "Save As" button to contain a box for naming the screencast
and place it at the very top of the application interface or 2. have
gtk-recordmydesktop pop up with a regular "Save As" dialog where you can
choose a file name/location at that time.
