I installed Karmic RC Desktop amd64 from Live CD. There was no internet connectivity during use of Live CD, nor after installation. The installation process went through correctly. Once installed I could see the interfaces with ifconfig. No activity on both interfaces: LAN and Wifi.
I have an Asus P5B motherboard with 6 GB of RAM. I run correctly on the box with Ubuntu 8.10 (i386) and 9.04 (i386 and amd64).
