Public bug reported: A couple of years ago, I (should have?) reported that my Targus PA905 External USB Floppy Drive didn't work under previous versions of Ubuntu/Kubuntu. This drive has always worked under Windows XP and Windows 98SE without the use of any driver software.
I am pleased to report that this Targus PA905 External USB Floppy Drive works correctly under Ubuntu 9.10 RC! :-) ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 CheckboxSubmission: 134dbefaa9beb106598c5597ba8bbd33 CheckboxSystem: edda5d4f616ca792bf437989cb597002 Date: Mon Oct 26 16:47:41 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/nautilus InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release Candidate i386 (20091020.3) Package: nautilus 1:2.28.0-0ubuntu7 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic SourcePackage: nautilus Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic i686 XsessionErrors: (gnome-settings-daemon:1512): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_propagate_error: assertion `src != NULL' failed (gnome-settings-daemon:1512): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_propagate_error: assertion `src != NULL' failed (nautilus:1567): Eel-CRITICAL **: eel_preferences_get_boolean: assertion `preferences_is_initialized ()' failed (polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1:1587): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initialization_value != 0' failed ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- Targus PA905 Ext Floppy Drive works! https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/461434 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
