Just tried suspend to disk, and the computer turns off, after displaying a bunch of messages about usb devices (which I'd be happy to write down if they're useful). It resumes to the splash screen, then shows the same error messages, then some garbage (white horizontal line), before finally leaving the cursor over a black screen. The cursor is in the lower right quadrant of the screen, just like it is in the Herd 4 live cd on shutdown, visible over the usplash. I tried ctrl-alt-backspace but no dice.
