Public bug reported: Binary package hint: emacs22
I would expect emacs version 23.1+1-4ubuntu2+22.2+0ubuntu6 to depend on emacs23, but it still depends on emacs22. It's built from source emacs22, which seems odd. Should a simple dependency package have its own source? This is on Karmic (just dist-upgraded today). emacs: Installed: 23.1+1-4ubuntu2+22.2+0ubuntu6 Candidate: 23.1+1-4ubuntu2+22.2+0ubuntu6 Version table: *** 23.1+1-4ubuntu2+22.2+0ubuntu6 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Mon Oct 26 00:51:25 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 Package: emacs 23.1+1-4ubuntu2+22.2+0ubuntu6 PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE= LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/zsh ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic SourcePackage: emacs22 Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic i686 ** Affects: emacs22 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- emacs version 23.1+1-4ubuntu2+22.2+0ubuntu6 depends on emacs22 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/460892 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
