Public bug reported: Binary package hint: vim
I installed Dapper, then put in the CD for edgy and installed edgy from it while already booted. (cd wouldn't work correctly after the splash screen, but had decent integrity and was burned at 4X.) I suspect that my video card is no longer supported which is a real shame because the open source drivers are available at XGI. Everything worked fine after doing a sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg in the recovery mode. Exited fine using the trident drivers and went right to the login screen. Only problem is I can't scroll back up on any forms or browsers and have a use able screen. Decided to play around and update to feisty and the update aborted because VIM-TINY couldn't update due to some kind of package dependancy that wasn't met. Something else didn't update as well, but it didn't give me any info. Hope that that helps!!
