I have this problem, too, on a Microcenter PowerSpec Intel based system. The builtin card was a problem in the past because Googleearth would not render properly when effects were used. I had to use "none" for visual effects.
Now my system locks in 9.10 when choosing Gnome. Failsafe Gnome works fine, but because I am locked, I can not right click the desktop to see or change the setting. Attached would have been the file you requested in Bug #459630 above, but there is no xorg.conf. Thank you. ** Attachment added: "default-display-manager" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/34325760/default-display-manager -- cannot log into regular gnome session https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/459630 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
