We notice you're running fglrx on the server. This can cause problems with applications that use GLX like Flash, even on the thin client. Can you try ditching fglrx, and re-try?
** Description changed: In my LTSP client, if I do the following: - - browse to http://www.sgoss.org.uk/freshfaces/vacancies.htm in Firefox - - wait for it to load - - click the link that leads to http://www.sgoss.org.uk/home/maps.htm + - browse to http://www.sgoss.org.uk/freshfaces/vacancies.htm in Firefox + - wait for it to load + - click the link that leads to http://www.sgoss.org.uk/home/map.htm Then, the client freezes. The mouse pointer remains responsive and I can VT switch to a terminal but Firefox and the desktop do not respond to clicks. The mouse pointer does change as I mouse over different parts of the screen (spinning wheel over FF say but normal pointer over the panel). Other websites also cause the same type of freeze. It is reproducible. The culprit websites all seem to have flash movies in them. I have the 64-bit flash player installed directly from Adobe. Nevertheless, no client app should be able to take down the X server. My server machine is running 64-bit Jaunty, the client is running the i386 version. $ apt-cache policy ltsp-server ltsp-server: - Installed: 5.1.65-0ubuntu2 - Candidate: 5.1.65-0ubuntu2 - Version table: - *** 5.1.65-0ubuntu2 0 - 500 http://ubuntu.virginmedia.com jaunty/main Packages - 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status + Installed: 5.1.65-0ubuntu2 + Candidate: 5.1.65-0ubuntu2 + Version table: + *** 5.1.65-0ubuntu2 0 + 500 http://ubuntu.virginmedia.com jaunty/main Packages + 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Changed in: ltsp (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- [jaunty] LTSP client freezes when browsing to certain websites in Firefox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/387024 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
