Public bug reported: I've tried to follow the directions in http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/upgrading under "Upgrading Using the Alternate CD/DVD". Started sudo /media/cdrom/cdromupgrade and told the installer not to use the network. It complained about not being able to validate some packages and quit.
I can't find a way to upgrade without downloading from the network (~4 hours on my machine). ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Alternate install with no network doesn't work (9.10 RC) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/459458 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
