Public bug reported:

I've tried to follow the directions in
http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/upgrading under "Upgrading Using the Alternate
CD/DVD".
Started sudo /media/cdrom/cdromupgrade and told the installer not to use the
network.
It complained about not being able to validate some packages and quit.

I can't find a way to upgrade without downloading from the network (~4
hours on my machine).

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
