I just did a fresh install, and I'm still getting the errors just after Xsplash changes to Gnome (I completely wiped the hard drive and re- partitioned from scratch). This time I'm not running UNR, I'm running vanilla Ubuntu Desktop. I did not copy over any configuration files (except my .mozilla folder), so I don't see how this can be a local configuration issue.
