To resolve this issue you have install package: linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic generic
or if using PAE kernel linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic generic-pae You do not have to tweak the alsamixer. It will work by autosensing. When headset is plugged into port it will use it.
