I confirm that I have the same problem with samba and Nautilus. smbtree -U user //server shows up everything (every samba share) but Nautilus doesn't. I can enter share's name "manually" into Location bar in Nautilus and that works for me. (smb://server_name/long_share_name_13_chars)
