I am also having problems with USB devices on my EEEPC 1000HE. Below is
an example of a Sanza Fuse 8G MP3 Player, but also get same results with
generic USB pendrives. I've tried using "update-pciids" and "update-
usbids" hoping it might help. It appears that because the device is not
enumerated, karmic has no idea what the device(s) are and fails to mount
them.
