Followup: Multiple screen locks later, no more crash/hangs with the "lattice" screensaver either. Might be sporadic? Leaving the screensaver running for a longer period now (lunch!) as another test. -pbr
P.S. though I've been running the lattice screensaver, I haven't seen the "donuts" version come up again since the crash.
