This is NOT a bug to me, just a REALLY BAD way to indicate that ECC has NOT been enabled in the BIOS. I can't be sure if this happened before or after I did a BIOS update on 10/18/2009. I know for sure there is a setting to enable ECC in my BIOS. I didn't think my memory supported it and was afraid it might decrease performance or make my system unstable without memory supporting it. But I will enable it. But I believe the memory controller on the AMD Athlon 64 X2s is built in, maybe that is why the option is there for me.
Maybe some may want to try a BIOS update if your brave, to see if you get the option to set ECC, as I'm thinking the setting is referring to enable ECC built in with the CPU. -- 6.073813] EDAC amd64: WARNING: ECC is NOT currently enabled by the BIOS.
