I edited a typo in the bug description changing 2.4.31 to 2.6.31. I also
have this bug on an acer aspire 5315-2077. Same sensor error too, I
installed lm-sensors and the gnome panel applet and thought I was
watching it but it suddenly shut off while never changing from 45 in the
applet. The fans never turned on. In the -13 kernel the comp idles at
45-50. In the applet I have 3 sensors, 1 from acpi called TZ01, and 2
from libsensors, one called temp1 and the other called Core 0. Core 0
seems to have a finer 1 degree scale while the other two change in
increments of 5. I ran sensors-detect when attempting to install
xsensors (but all I got was was a blank 2x2 window, but that's a
separate issue). When I ran sensors-detect I accepted all the defaults
except that I chose to automatically add the sensors that it said it
found.
