Not sure why apport is starting to pick this up as a 'serious error' all of a sudden. I've had this 'error' in the dmesg since I first installed karmic. It never causes a problem on my system, because its just a warning. In my case the error is that ECC memory is disabled in the BIOS. Which is hardly surprising since the laptop doesn't have ECC memory installed.
Perhaps the driver needs to alter its warning messages so that it is less alarming. -- 6.073813] EDAC amd64: WARNING: ECC is NOT currently enabled by the BIOS. Module will NOT be loaded. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/422536 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
