Thanks for the additional information. Could you please make kde hang, then switch to a virtual console using Ctrl+Alt+F2 and grab '~/.xsession-errors', '/var/log/Xorg.0.log', 'dmesg' and '/var/log/kdm.log'? Thanks in advance.
