A new version of the Translate Toolkit (1.4.0) is available in the Debian unstable (http://packages.debian.org/unstable/main/translate-toolkit) and includes a lot of improvements over the current 1.3.0-6. Thanks to Rail Aliev. - Extra startup options for tmserver </quote> The Debian unstable version was built (with a Karmic pbuilder) and installed (on a Karmic VM), although the rules file needed the addition of " --install-layout=deb" at the end of line 48 (the line that calls `python setup.py install` in the "install" target). Unit tests of the installed package worked as expected: Some failed due to the absence of python-lxml, but works after installing python-lxml. Other failing tests are expected to do so. The new (1.4.0) version is compatible with dependent packages (virtaal, pootle and lokalize) in Karmic.
