Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
gnome-screensaver 2.28.0-0ubuntu1 Setting idle_delay as mandatory via gconf as no effect. Works in Jaunty, but not in recent Karmic release. cat /etc/gconf/gconf.xml.mandatory/%gconf-tree.xml <?xml version="1.0"?> <gconf> <dir name="apps"> <dir name="gnome-screensaver"> <entry name="mode" mtime="1255489230" type="string"> <stringvalue>blank-only</stringvalue> </entry> <entry name="lock_enabled" mtime="1255489223" type="bool" value="true"/> <entry name="idle_delay" mtime="1255489192" type="int" value="15"/> <entry name="idle_activation_enabled" mtime="1255489178" type="bool" value="true"/> </dir> </dir> </gconf> Users are still able to adjust the idle time; the slider is not disabled.
