It probably does - there are a couple of bugs where blkid is a little
more paranoid, and those are fixed upstream as part of a rewrite so we
can't merge them :-(

If you're feeling brave you could grab the util-linux-ng upstream source
and build the blkid from that, and see what that gives you?
