Public bug reported: Binary package hint: brasero
I occasionaly burn video files along with a subtitle file to a rewritable dvd so that I can watch it using a DVD player. For the DVD player to recognise and load the subtitle file it must be similarly named. Only the extension must differ. For example if I have a video file named xyz-abc-123.avi then the subtitle file must be named xyz-abc-123.srt. The subtitle file usually has a different name, so I have to rename it. Simple logic dictates that I press F2 or right-click on an avi file and select rename, then select the filename without the extension and hit ctrl-c to copy it. I then do the same for the subtitle file, but instead of copying I hit ctrl-v to paste the previously copied text over the selected text. What happens is Brasero pops up a dialog saying: "xyz-abc-123" cannot be added to the selection. It does not exist at the specified location. What should happen: The subtitle file should be renamed to xyz-abc-123.srt ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Date: Mon Oct 12 21:00:12 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 Package: brasero 2.28.1-0ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-13.44-generic SourcePackage: brasero Uname: Linux 2.6.31-13-generic x86_64 ** Affects: brasero (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- Brasero wouldn't let me rename files by pasting the new name https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/449737 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
