Scot: If you would like to discuss this via e-mail I would be happy to. What you said was
"Nothing here suggests an Upstart bug, simply an issue with your distribution's configuration" What I think you should have done is: 1. If it is not an upstart bug, you should have provided feedback so that people can improve their bug reports. How are we to know it is not a problem with upstart ? The system does not boot and there are no logs. I assume you know upstart quite well, but that is no excuse to treat those who do not the way you did. The way you responded to this bug report is frankly arrogant and, IMO, inappropriate. 2. I linked Ubuntu bug reports above, so you make a mistake. It is a problem with Ubuntu, and specifically it seems mountall. So again, IMO it is inappropriate for you to treat this project in such a condescending disrespectful manor. These are bug reports and people are trying to help improve Ubuntu. You really should treat them with a little more respect. Just because you are a developer does not mean you have the right to behave this way. If you took the time to educate , the quality of bug reports would improve. If you do not want to take the time, best not to respond at all then come across the way you did. -- ubuntu and zenix unable to start X on liveCD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/448495 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
