Colin, I've completed your requests. Also, I want to mention that if I run cheese after the camera is connected after login, cheese will just display the multicolor test image. If I run cheese without the camera connected, it still displays the multicolor test image but it also says "No camera found!" near the top of the window. This leads me to believe that cheese can detect the camera if it is plugged in after login but it seems like something it not being initialized correctly.
