I have an Asrock AM2NF6G-VSTA MB with Athlon 4000+ x2, booted karmic alpha6 with dual core support. So could you please:
1. check your BIOS is upgraded to latest version, and BIOS setting is correct and see if Windows can detect the 2nd core correctly 2. check /boot/grub/grub.cfg as well since there might be some kernel command line options may matter 3. try latest karmic release to see if this has been fixed Thanks for reporting this bug. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Eric Miao (eric.y.miao) -- Athlon X2 not recognized as dual core https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/437821 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
