This bug affects me too. I have Ubuntu jaunty jackalope minimal on a MacBook 1.1 with openbox and no dm (like gmd, kdm, xdm..). I'm unable to log in because the message comes with intervals of 2-3 seconds. I have this message only when I'm in University, there is a WPA2 Enterprise connection with CA certificate, I guess this can cause the problem. I had no messages using the madwifi drivers on Ubuntu-Gnome.
