This bug is still present in Kubuntu Karmic 9.10 beta - plasma-widget-
networkmanagement package does not offer the user an option to enter a
40 or 128-bit ASCII WEP key (which is not the same as a passphrase).
Using the hex workaround is not realistic (nor reasonable) for the
majority of users.
